Santucci's on Broad

At Broad and Wallace Streets, Santucci’s on Broad pairs a turn-of-the-20th-century building with a bold contemporary identity. Like the neighboring Divine Lorraine Hotel, the property reflects the corridor’s history. Before Santucci’s Original Square Pizza expanded to the site, its upper floors were used only for storage.

The renovation converted the second and third floors into apartments and added a fourth floor. The original industrial structure’s capacity allowed the addition without alterations to existing structural members or foundations.

Red metal panels wrap the building, connecting its new identity to Santucci’s branding. Large factory-style windows fill the original openings, frame sweeping city views, and establish a memorable presence along North Broad Street.

An early milestone for Designblendz, the project helped launch the firm’s architectural practice.
