The Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission (DRJTBC) oversees the maintenance and construction of bridges linking New Jersey and Pennsylvania, with their latest endeavor being the construction of a new administration headquarters. This impressive two-story, 34,000-square-foot building was completed in collaboration with USA Architects, who provided architectural expertise, while IEI Group (now a part of Designblendz) contributed interior design and furniture services. Drawing inspiration from the bridges built by the DRJTBC, the Scudders Falls building incorporates materials such as steel beams, recycled glass-infused concrete floors, and rustic stone. Designed to promote collaboration, the space includes reception and waiting areas, meeting rooms, huddle spaces, professional workstations and offices, break rooms, as well as outdoor eating and sitting areas. Additionally, the design adheres to LEED compliance standards, integrating features like daylighting, sustainable materials and systems, and other life-cycle cost considerations.
