The Township of Bordentown is planning the design and construction of a new Municipal Complex on a site currently used as a farm field in Burlington County, NJ. Situated adjacent to the Township’s existing Public Works and Fire Department buildings, the project aims to centralize the municipality’s essential functions into one cohesive parcel.
The new facility will house administrative offices and support spaces for the Township Administrator, Clerk, Community Development, Construction, Tax Collector, Assessor, and Finance departments. Additionally, the complex will feature a Municipal Court with a 150-person courtroom, Judge’s chambers, offices for the Prosecutor and Public Defender, administrative clerk spaces with service windows, and other required support areas. The project also includes a Department of Corrections (DOC)- compliant Police facility with administrative offices, Patrol and Detective bureaus, evidence processing and storage areas, a sally port, holding cells, and related functional spaces.
The project is currently in the design phase, with the Design Development phase completed.
